Make it a Habit

You have probably heard it before but it’s worth repeating; humans are habitual.  We take the same routes to work, drink the same beverages, go to the same places for vacation and have the same routines week in and week out.

In business, your goal is to make using your product or service a habit for as many people as possible.  Google, Twitter and Facebook have done a great job of making their services habitual for millions of people.

Knowledge is power right?  Knowing that we are creatures of habit why not add some good habits into the mix of your daily life?  A change of routine might be just what you need to spark some inspiration.  Make it happen.

Make it a habit to try something new each day.  It doesn’t have to be ground breaking, just different.  Take a different route to work, try a different beverage, listen to different music, call an old friend, etc.  Now, to get started, say this out loud, “Today, I will do ONE thing differently.”
